Pysanka - a traditional form of folk art is a celebration of life, a symbol of rebirth and the beginning of a new period.

I have been writing pysankas since I was 7 years old.
For the past 15 years, I have been engaged in pysankarstvo as one of the formats of individual artistic activity.
My pysankas are created using the classic technique of writing with wax and a stylus, with the use of the vinegar etching technique.
Every year this tradition engulfs me for several weeks. Working with the idea of rethinking tradition, my focus is directed towards individual creativity. However, I have never wanted to go against tradition. Experiments with color and composition are based on experience and direct contact (exploration/study) of folk art. The main idea for me is the development and interpretation of forms based on traditional ones.

In my work, I turn to pysankarstvo as a process of the continuity of life and tradition as part of national and cultural self-identification.
