Pysanka is a traditional form of folk art that celebrates life, symbolizes rebirth, and marks the beginning of a new period.

I have been writing pysanky since I was 7 years old.
For the past 15 years, I have been practicing pysankarstvo as one of the formats of my individual artistic activity.
My pysanky are created using the classic technique of wax-resist and dyeing with the use of the vinegar etching method.
Every year, this tradition consumes me for several weeks. Working with the idea of reinterpreting tradition, my focus is directed towards individual creativity. However, I have never wanted to go against tradition. Experiments with color and composition are based on the experience and direct contact (research/study) with folk art. The main idea for me has been the development and interpretation of forms based on traditional ones.

In my work, I approach pysankarstvo as a process of the continuity of life and tradition as part of national and cultural self-identification.
